Thepromotion display is the perfect display to do it on because it could ramp down the refresh to 1 like on the watch to really save battery. That’s too bad. That’s still a decent power saving though. As soon as the “reinvent” the always on display, kind of like they did with widget haha. Watchthe clock and how it “grows” when you tap the screen. peduxe • Additional comment actions. It’ll likely get fixed, Apple always been serious about not having UX that is unresponsive to touch even when animations are in course (ie. Home Bar apps switcher). Additional comment actions. Always-on display throttles the refresh redavid • 1 yr. ago. the only thing the Series 7 is going to get you over the Series 6 is the slightly larger screen size. the Series 6 is still a better watch than the SE2 with an always-on display and the ECG sensor (also the sp02 sensor, though that's more gimmicky and not something you should be using if accurate blood oxygen levels are

biggeralways-on display (can be changed to raise to wake but honestly AOD is great) SE is still good if none of that is worth the price bump for you. I think that an Apple Watch Series 8 is probably the best AW for most people. If you can afford the AW Series 8 get it over the AW SE 2.

Noapps, no background processes, no Watch face with complications, and had both Watch and iPhone in Low Power mode. The Watch is dying within 4 hrs not even being used (not interacting with it). Even the Battery Health dropped from 98% to 93%. It's now taking upwards of 5-6 hrs to charge. Lastnight I noticed that my Apple Watch didn’t sleep when I put it on the charger - just stayed on the green clock screen. It was ok after I’d removed it & put it back, but I’ve seen this once or twice before. Has anyone else? Yeah same thing you described. It's happened a couple times, I assume just a bug.
batteryhealth is affected by draining and charging the battery. so, because some people feel there's a noticeable effect on battery life when having the always-on display enabled, you would theoretically need to charge it more and therefore go through charge cycles more quickly (fwiw, in my testing, i never found the battery life difference that notable, you're
Isthere a short cut or something to to turn on/off the always on display, rather than going all the way in settings? it’s probably not what you are lookin for, but maybe it helps a few people. I use my watch in low power mode most of the time, that disables AOD. When I turn low power mode off, AOD is enabled again.
AlwaysOn Display issues (15 Pro Max iOS 17.1) Anyone else having issues with AOD staying on? Mine will be turned on, but the display will sleep anyways. I go into Settings, toggle it off then back on, and it works. However, then my FaceID stops working, so I have to go into my Settings and reset that. Once I’ve reset FaceID, my AOD goes back

Ithink that was so the manufacturers could put an AOD on a watch that couldn't really handle it. I had a TicWatch Pro which just dimmed the current screen. I still got 48+ hours from it. The ”x” is in fact a Roman version of the number “10” and will change within the hour to an “XI” (a Roman “eleven”). Burn in doesn’t happen Dependswhat your budget is really. The SE gives you 90% of the capability of the 8, it’s just the bigger screen and always on display that might make it more tempting. The SE is definitely better value, but the 8 is just that little bit nicer. It’s
notfor me. i updated to S5 somewhat recently & had it always on at first, but almost immediately turned it off shortly after. i personally found it to be a (significant enough) waste of battery life. besides whenever i went to check time, i flicked my wrist towards me which activated the screen anyway. same way it would without it on. it’s been off since shortly
Viewcommunity ranking In the Top 1% of largest communities on Reddit. Apple watch swim always-on . I swim with an apple watch S4 and it does a really great of job of tracking my swim. However, the screen is unresponsive to wake up when i'm checking my pace at the wall. I have an S7 and I made a shortcut on mine to change the display to
